Obsolete or discontinued CT? Send us a part, a drawing, or just a part number, and we'll rebuild it.
When the original manufacturer discontinues a current transformer — or disappears entirely — the parts that depend on it don't stop needing it. A retrofit stalls, a repair waits, an assembly sits unfinished.
With over 14,000 designs on file and 40+ years of in-house engineering, Magnetics & Controls reverse-engineers obsolete and discontinued CTs from whatever you can give us, and rebuilds them to match the original — built to print in the USA.
Reverse engineering is typically done at no charge. If any exception applies, you're notified and it's quoted up front, before any work begins.
If it's a part we've built before and we fabricate every component in-house, we can often quote it the same or next business day. More complex or never-before-built parts can take longer to price — we'll tell you up front either way.
And if you need more than one, the same reverse-engineered design can move straight into a private-labeled production run under your name.
The more detail you can provide, the faster we move — but even a part number is often enough to get started.
Send us the physical unit — original or failed — and we'll measure and characterize it directly.
Original drawings, datasheets, or specs let us match fit, form, and function precisely.
Often we can identify the original from an obsolete OEM part number against our design library.
Send the obsolete part number, a drawing, or the unit itself. We'll tell you quickly whether we can reverse-engineer it — typically at no charge — and when you'll have it.
